Waking to the beautiful morning and hoping that the day was going to be as always..got on my PC and returning to my internet modem switching my internet on..blogged a little because I have so much lined up for the day. Slipped into my slippers, had my bath and went off to the work of the day..while at it and bargaining, jumping from one bus to the other..yes I use public transports because I don't have a car and to you who have always told me to hook up with you, you have to understand ooooo..
It was in the process of work that I had the particle dropped into my right eye and it was the weirdest experience of my life, looking like it was going to come out anytime soon and guess what,it never came out and my BBM was my next help because I had no one to call on at that time..many response came and they were very helpful..it was like the 'Audience Play' of 'Who want to be a Millionaire'. 90% was 'Rinse eye or open eye in clean bowl of water'..
Where do I get bowl of water on a busy street and I had to run off to a rest room where I could get it..I did all that and it still did not solve the problem..I had to run off to the Medical Centre of the University of Lagos. I had to wait for two hours before finally seeing the Doctor, pain had a new definition to me in the course of waiting to see the Doctor. The Nurse on duty displayed the most nonchalant attitude I've ever seen and I started looking if there is another definition for emergency..maybe because I was not bleeding everywhere and she had many other people go in before me..well I felt it's the normal problem every medical institute in Nigeria is facing.
So I waited 3hrs to decide if I was going blind or get saved! Well, at the end of the day, the eye drop I'll be given was out of stock making it 3hrs+ to get saved! Had to go get the eye drop some where else for use and this morning I am relieved and now sure that I have my eyes back! What do you think about the Nigerian health Institute? Guys let's talk!
